I’ve been reading an amazing series of books called The Ringing Cedars Series and every time I have read for about 30 minutes, I inadvertently end up having to take a nap to meditate and dream about what I just read! I love it. I was reading a section one night on love, the universe, paradise here on Earth and how everything is connected by love the secret ingredient that makes everything wonderful – to very badly paraphrase it!
Having drifted off to sleep with these thoughts, I woke up bright and early the next morning, before anyone else was even thinking about going to the beach, so that I could run in the sand in solitude. I was still thinking about what I read the night before, in deep concentration pondering the phrase “All you need is Love” to quote a famous Beatle when my eye was instantly drawn to the sand and there it was, a beautiful heart shaped stone. I stopped on a dime and picked it up with a smile thinking it’s a message that I’m on the right track, when two steps further on, I see another and another and another! I had to stop because I could no longer hold all the stones. I had to laugh at my “riches”and said out loud “REALLY?” and continued my run saying to myself, ” Ok, I get it”!
Apparently no one heard me because I continued on to see another 20 plus heart shaped rocks. Someone’s playing with me now! As I approached a few of the heart shaped rocks, they looked like perfect hearts. However, once I looked directly down on them, the heart shape was no longer distinguishable. Each rock had a perfect heart side that was obscured from any other angle. Then it hit me. If you look hard enough, you can find love anywhere, in anything. My dear friend Tracey sees heart shapes in the stain of gasoline on pavement, or a rubber band lying on the ground. I guess my point is and the reminder that I got was that the world is full of love waiting to be discovered!
