Silk as a health and beauty aid

Ten Reasons to sleep on Silk:

2. has antimicrobial properties
3. offers protection from environmental elements, stress and fatigue
4. resistant to dust mites
5. protects skin from wrinkling and aging
6. promotes rest and rejuvenation
7. silk lasts up to 10 times longer than cotton
8. provides nutrients to skin and hair
9. has a calming effect on central nervous system
10. production is less harmful to environment than cotton or bamboo.

One of the most imortant benefits of silk bedding is the hypoallergenic property of my single filament silk textiles. By twisting single strands of silk together, a smooth single strand of yarn is achieved that will not fray or turn into microbial particles when you sleep. These microbial particles found in cotton sleep products become inhaled by your respiratory system while we sleep and cause allergies every night in millions of people every year. Because my sleep products are completely hypoallergenic and do not create micrbial particles, you enjoy a more restful sleep in my silk sheets.

Silk is unique in it’s natural resilience to potential allergens such as dust mites, mold spores and fungus. The amino acids and Saracen found only in silk are naturally engineered to resist these allergens and protect us from their harmful effects. These properties have naturally evolved to protect the silk worm from harsh environmental elements, stress and fatigue during it’s metamorphosis into a moth. When we sleep in silk, these unique amino acids and Saracen have a similar effect on our bodies as well.

My silk linens are a natural combatant of stress and fatigue. They protect our skin from wrinkling and aging. They also provide nutrients for our hair and have a calming effect on our central nervous system which must be witnessed and believed. SBLB sleep products are truly one of nature’s miracles for rest and rejuventation.

Fun Fact:  Silk is used in surgery to tie ligaments together.
